Google is plotting a move into auto insurance in the U.S., including a comparison-shopping site from which users would also be able to buy policies, an industry analyst says.

Forrester Research analyst Ellen Carney wrote in a blog post Wednesday that an entity called Google Compare Auto Insurance Services is licensed to sell insurance in 26 states and is authorized to sell policies in at least one state on behalf of six insurers, including Mercury and Viking Insurance of Wisconsin.

Karissa BELL Bought a  Fake Apple Watch for $27 at CES

LAS VEGAS— It will likely be at least two months before the highly anticipated Apple Watch hits shelves, but at least one company has already made a knockoff.

With Its New Mobile Scanning App, Evernote

Is Trying To Transcend Paper

From:   http://www.fastcompany.com

Open Evernote's new Scannable app, point it at a document, business card, or receipt, and plop, it instantly creates a digital scan ready to be sent to a number of different locations—including an Evernote account. The free app, announced back in October, is now officially available in the iOS App Store.

Not only do a lot of scanning apps already exist, such as Scanbot, but a fair amount of them already send data directly to Evernote. With Scannable, Evernote is trying to skip the conventions of the category and figure out what you want to do with that piece of paper, quickly.
