Jet.com Takes On Amazon With The Promise Of Lower Prices

Jet.com’s founder and chief executive Marc Lore. In 2005, he started an e-commerce site aimed at moms with Diapers.com, and later expanded the business to other verticals, including online grocery store Soap.com and pet store Wag.com.

Five years later, he sold his company Quidsi Inc. to Amazon for $545 million. The takeaway, says Lore, is that he learned how to build a brand customers are passionate about, and how to create a consumer experience customers are willing to pay a premium for.

MC2 Post 2037 Looks like Apple likes the Ad slogan "What's in Your Wallet?"

Apple's NEW Patent on on how Much money is
in your bank account ???

Apple patents tech that checks your bank account to target ads

A new Apple patent reveals a way to show you ads on your iPhone of things that you can actually afford, based on how much money you have available in the bank.

Filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) last year, the patent describes a system that targets "advertising of goods and services to users of mobile terminals, based for example on the users' profile."

"The common profile of users may be based on the amount of pre-paid credit available to each user," the patent says.

Report: Apple and Samsung in talks to adopt e-SIM technology

The Financial Times reports that Samsung and Apple are both in talks with the GSMA, the mobile telecom telecom industry association, to begin employing electronic SIM cards in their mobile devices. Electronic SIMs (or e-SIMs) differ from their physical predecessors in that they don't lock users into a specific carrier network and would allow them to switch any device between an network instantly. So, remember how when the iPhone debuted, it was only available on AT&T? That won't happen with e-SIMs -- any phone, tablet or network-enabled gadget will work with any carrier that supports the technology.

But while the association is confident that a "common architecture" will eventually be adopted by the entire industry, we're still at least a year away from actually seeing a device with these cards. "With the majority of operators on board," Anne Bouverot, chief executive of the GSMA, told Financial Times.

MC2 Post 2036 Purdue University suggest FIX to VR Motion Sickness

Virtual noses. That’s what researchers at Purdue University are proposing as a potential solution to that sickness you might experience when playing games on Oculus Rift or similar virtual reality headsets.

Simulator sickness is a form of motion sickness. The version I’ve experienced with VR involved sweating, nausea, eyestrain and headaches. I wasn’t actually sick but it was incredibly unpleasant and has made me wary of VR headsets ever since.

There are a number of theories as the exactly why this occurs with virtual reality environments but David Whittinghill – an assistant professor at the university’s Department of Computer Graphics Technology – mentions the one I’ve heard put forward most often: cue conflict.

Just Cause 3 - 11 Minutes of New Gameplay | E3 2015

===================================

===================================

Reminder:

Each set of options does the standard “highlight what we want to show” for this Just Cause 3 gameplay trailer, however it does so in a way that keeps things fresh and interesting. You still get to see how the game’s physics engine works in a variety of ways of highlighting destruction, soaring through the skies and getting around on the ground. I know the game is less than half a year away from release, but I would have preferred a lot more NPC’s and vehicles driving around the towns to make them feel more lived in. Knowing the game is as huge as it is, though, suggests that it may be the preferred tradeoff if it allows a smooth transition from point to point.

Just Cause 3 will be released for the

PC, PS4 and Xbox One on December 1st.

from the world’s eight top smartphone makers in the first quarter,

up from 65% a year earlier,

MC2 Post 2033 What's With the Logitech New Name Change LOGI ???

Clip from Logitech "LOGI" Video.

Its seems someone in marketing convinced Logitech that part of it Brand Name was Meaningless.

The TECH Part.  So Now, Logitech wants to emphasize a New Name  Logi.

Yeah, that makes sense, huh???

WINGMAN.

Logitech is on a mission to reinvent itself to consumers with a new version of its company logo and an all-new brand called Logi. The PC and mobile accessory maker says the changes are part of its "transformation" into a company that has a bigger emphasis on design.

Logitech states:

While our commitment to excellence in peripherals hasn't changed, we're dedicating focus on design, hiring our first-ever chief design officer, Alastair Curtis, and delivering products that create amazing experiences in the everyday places of your life. We've put design at the core of everything we do and everything we are, from our products to our brand identity.

From:    http://www.androidcentral.com

That includes products that will have the new Logi brand name. Logitech has yet to offer any details on their new Logi devices, saying only that the first one "is around the corner" and that consumers can "expect some twists and a few surprises in new categories."

A Quick Look at the Logitech Keys-To-Go Ultraportable Keyboard

From:   http://www.androidcentral.com

Keyboards haven't yet outlived their usefulness, and Logitech continues to make some of the best for adding a little something extra to your tablet. Here we've got a quick look at the Logitech Keys-To-Go.

It's a ridiculously thin keyboard for tablets. The one we have here is technically marketed for Android and Windows — it's got a telltale Windows key as well — but it'll work with iOS, too. (If you just have to have one sans Windows key, there's a more iOS-friendly one available, too.)

The Logitech Keys to Go keyboard for Android and Windows is available in black or blue, and MSRP is $69.99, but prices may well vary.

I went back to  Wiliam GIBSON's Classic Virtual Light

Admittedly it was a re-read of the Bridge Trilogy

which I still had in paperback.

Zipped through them like butter.  But the third, IDORU

has been a bit of a push.

I also Audible Listened to the non-fiction book:

by Walter Isaacson.

That put at least 3+ other books on the Back Burner...
