MC2 Post 2044 Samsung's Ludicrous 16 TB Hard Drive

The Drive Is the Biggest in the World

Samsung's newest SSD could store some 15,000 movies

So how much is 16 TB really? It's enough to store:

18070 pirated copies of the action film classic Die Hard
10971 copies of the Beatles full discography (at 320 kbps)
279 installed copies of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare
One and a half copies of Wikipedia, or 153 if you compress it.

That is to say, more than you could ever possibly need. That said, this is aimed squarely at the enterprise market.
